2016 ND Autism Spectrum Disorders Conference

In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the UND School of Medicine and Health Science CME Policy, the faculty have disclosed the following:

Katherine Barchenger, Kodi Pinks, MPH and Thomas Carver, DO have indicated that no commercial support relationship exists. The speakers have indicated that the presentations will not include discussion of commercial products or services. The presentations will not include discussion of off-label and/or investigational usage of any products or services. The presentation will not include discussion of trade names.

Alastair Gardiner has indicated that that no commercial support relationship exists. He will not be discussing commercial products or services. The presentation will include discussion of off-label or investigational uses of any products or services. The discussion will include the use of trade names (“The Nurtured Heart Approach, The 3 Stands”).

Myra Quanrud, MD has indicated that that no commercial support relationship exists. She will be discussing commercial products or services. The presentation will not include discussion of off-label or investigational uses of any products or services. The discussion will include the use of trade names (“The Nurtured Heart Approach, The 3 Stands, Building Inner Wealth”).

Cristine Deaver, MS, BCBA, LABA has indicated that that no commercial support relationship exists. She will be discussing commercial products or services. The presentations will not include discussion of off-label or investigational uses of any products or services. The discussion will include the use of trade names (“Pivotal Response Training, Handwriting Without Tears, DIR/Floortime, Social Thinking Intervention.”).

 

The Providing Units (UND School of Medicine and North Dakota Department of Human Services and Anne Carlsen Center) and the Planning Committee have indicated no commercial support relationship exists and there will be no mention of off-label or investigative usage of products and will not use trade names. The Planning Committee includes Joan Connell, MD, Katherine Barchenger, Lynn Dodge, Ed. Continuing Education Units

The following is a list of the CEUs available.

Individuals should check with their own governing boards in advance regarding their particular CEU requirements/applicability.

P.O.S.T (Peace Officer Standards Training): 
This conference is approved by the North Dakota Peace Offers Standards Training. Please report your conference attendance at the registration table. 

ND Marriage and Family Therapist: These courses have been approved by the North Dakota Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board for up to 18.00 hours of CEU credit.” “One hour” means at least 50 minutes spent as a student in direct participation in a structured educational format. 

Counselors: This conference is approved by the North Dakota Board of Counselor Examiners for a maximum of 18.00 contact hours. 

Occupational Therapists: This conference is approved by the North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice for a maximum of 18.00 contact hours.

General CEU: 
General CEU's provided by Continuing Education Associates for a maximum of 1.80 CEUs, equivalent 18.00 contact hours.

UND Graduate Professional Development Credit: 
This conference has been approved for 1 graduate professional development credit through the University of North Dakota. In addition to the conference fee, there will be an extra fee of $95 assessed for the credit. Please note, you will be required to attend a minimum of 12 hours of conference sessions. ND Social Workers:
This conference is approved by the North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners for a maximum of 18.00 contact hours. 1.5 Ethics Hours available by attending Ethics and Autism on Wednesday, October 26th from 3:15pm-4:45pm. 

Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology: 
This conference is approved by the North Dakota State Board of Examiners on Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology for a maximum of 18.00 contact hours towards 2017 licensure.

Medical Professionals:

The University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 6 Category 1 credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
